Located almost directly south of Cancun, Belize is a beautiful hidden gem that few people put on their travel list.  An easy flight from pretty much all parts of the US to Belize City via American (Miami, Dallas, Charlotte), United (Newark, Houston), Southwest (Houston, Baltimore) among other seasonal routes.

This is your jump off point to get to anywhere around Belize which is roughly the size of Connecticut.  Tropic Air is the local airlines which operates all their flights a short distance from Belize International Airport and a small regional airport can get you around the country in less than 45 minutes.

One of the main hotspots in Belize is Ambergris Caye which is an island about a 20 minute plane ride away.  It has beautiful blue water, a charming small town feel, and plenty of activities to keep you moving around.
